Have a question? You probably are not alone. Here are the answers to the questions we hear most often. If you do not find what you are looking for, email us at hello@banabilaka.com — we usually reply within 1–2 business days.

1. How long does delivery take?

  • UK: 5–10 business days
  • EU: 5–10 business days
  • US: 7–12 business days
  • Rest of world: 10–20 business days

This includes production time (2–4 business days), because each item is made to order. See our Shipping Policy for full details.

2. How do I choose the right size?

Every product page has a detailed size guide with measurements in centimetres and inches. We strongly recommend checking it before ordering, especially if you are unsure. If you are between sizes, we generally recommend sizing up for a relaxed fit. Still unsure? Email hello@banabilaka.com and we will help.

3. Can I return my order if it does not fit?

Because our products are made to order, we cannot accept returns for wrong size selection. This is why we provide a detailed size guide on every product page. We do offer free reprints or refunds for defective items, misprints, or errors on our part — see our Refund Policy.

4. Where are your products made?

  • UK and EU orders are produced by Gelato, our fulfilment partner with a global network of local print facilities. Most UK orders are printed in the UK; most EU orders are printed in the country closest to the delivery address.
  • US orders are produced by Printify, using certified US-based print partners.

This local-production model means shorter shipping distances, lower carbon footprint, and faster delivery.

5. Will the colours match what I see on screen?

We do our best to display accurate colours, but slight variations can occur because:

  • Every monitor and phone screen displays colour differently
  • Print-on-demand involves batch-to-batch variation in fabric dye and ink
  • Different garment colours (e.g. black vs white t-shirts) print slightly differently

These variations are part of the handcrafted nature of made-to-order goods and are not considered defects.

6. Will I have to pay customs or import duties (US orders)?

  • US orders: sales tax may be added at checkout depending on your state. No additional customs fees should apply since products are printed and shipped from within the US.
  • UK and EU orders: VAT is included in the price. No surprise charges.
  • Rest of world: any import duties or local taxes are the responsibility of the customer and are handled by the carrier upon delivery.

7. What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and other payment methods displayed at checkout. Payments are processed securely via Stripe — we never see or store your full card details. All prices are in British Pounds Sterling (GBP).

8. How do I contact Bana Bilaka?

The fastest way is to email hello@banabilaka.com. We respond within 1–2 business days. Please include your order ID if your question relates to an existing order.

9. Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We ship worldwide through Gelato’s global network. Delivery times for “rest of world” destinations are typically 10–20 business days. Shipping costs and any import duties depend on your country and are shown at checkout (duties may be charged by the carrier on delivery).

10. Where are Bana Bilaka products made and who designs them?

Bana Bilaka is a London-based brand celebrating African greatness and pan-African pride. Our designs are created in-house by our creative team, drawing inspiration from African history, culture, and identity. Every design is owned by Bana Bilaka and cannot be reproduced or resold without permission. Products are physically produced by our trusted print partners (Gelato and Printify) in the country closest to you, then shipped directly to your door.
